Student Employment Job Board
The Student Employment Office is dedicated to assisting currently enrolled students with securing part-time employment. We currently offer three programs in which qualified students can earn money while pursuing an education. Each of these programs offers a variety of experiences that are beneficial to enhancing one's education and future objectives.
- On-Campus
- Off-campus
- Federal Work Study
The On-campus employment program provides students with the flexibility and convenience of obtaining employment around their class schedules. These positions exist in nearly all departments on campus, including the labs, library and finance. To qualify, a student must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours) and maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (academic positions require a minimum of 3.0).
Our Off-campus employment opportunities can be obtained through the campus student employment process, job board postings, on-campus recruitment and by attending our annual part-time job fairs.
Federal Work Study (FWS) is a federally funded campus- based employment program. As part of the application process, we will work with the Financial Aid office to determine financial eligibility. A student must be enrolled part-time (minimum 6 credit hours) and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. FWS positions can be on or off campus. The on-campus positions are student-focused areas such as the library, tutoring center or student services. Off- campus FWS positions are in non-profit or governmental agencies, e.g. CDC or Dekalb Government.
Job Board - The Job Board is used to post non-major related part-time and in some cases full-time employment opportunities as provided by local area employers. Part-time jobs are available in a wide range of areas and are intended to help defray living costs.
