Welcome to the DeVry University - Georgia HOPE Scholarship Application. 

The HOPE (Helping Outstanding Pupils Educationally) Scholarship Program is funded by the Georgia Lottery for Education and is available only to degree-seeking undergraduate students who meet the definition of a Georgia Resident for HOPE Scholarship Purposes. If you are already receiving the HOPE Scholarship and have not broke enrollment, you do not need to complete this application. The Registrar's Office has your academic records on file.

High school graduates academic eligibility for the Georgia HOPE Scholarship is determined by the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC). If you have graduated high school and have not attempted 30 semester hours of college level coursework, please do not submit an application. Your HOPE eligibility will be based on GSFC's evaluation. If GSFC system does not confirm that you are a HOPE Scholar, we will not be able to include the HOPE Scholarship in your Financial Advising. Please contact your High school Counselor or GSFC for further assistance.   

PLEASE READ:  We highly recommend that you read the Frequently Asked Questions regarding the HOPE scholarship.  You will be able to find most answers to your questions about the process, eligibility, checkpoints, and disbursement. 

APPLICATION PROCESS:  You will need to complete both the DeVry Application and a GSFAPPS in order to be evaluated for the HOPE Scholarship.  For the GSFAPPS, go to  GAcollege411.org and on the homepage under "Shortcuts", click on "Georgia Scholarship/Grant Application" and follow the instructions.

You must have a completed DeVry University HOPE Application and GSFAPPS no later than the set deadline of the term for which you are seeking the HOPE Scholarship in order for you to be considered for HOPE that term. 

Please note the following deadlines for 2012-2013 HOPE Application:
Summer 2012: Friday, October 5, 2012
Fall 2012: Friday, January 25, 2013
Spring 2013: Friday, May 24, 2013

In order for HOPE eligibility to be determined; ALL OFFICIAL transcripts from previously attended colleges must be evaluated by the Registrar Office.  It is the student's responsibility to make sure all OFFICIAL transcripts are on file at the time of their HOPE application.  Failure to provide ALL OFFICIAL transcript(s) will delay HOPE eligibility determination.  The HOPE GPA and HOPE Attempted Hours do not usually match the cumulative GPA and Attempted Hours shown in Degree Navigator as the HOPE takes all credit hours attempted at the college level including those attempted at other institutions whether or not the credit hours transfer to DeVry University. Students who are not eligible for HOPE after attempting 90 credit hours are permanently ineligible for the HOPE Scholarship.
